Benaisha Poole-Watson's journey from the Crenshaw District of South Central LA to becoming one of the top realtors in America is a true testament to resilience, hard work, and ambition. Raised amidst the challenges of losing her sister at a young age and witnessing her mother's tireless work ethic, Benaisha transformed adversity into the fuel that propelled her success. She credits her unstoppable drive to her mother, who showed her the value of perseverance.
Today, Benaisha has made a name for herself across the country, achieving the remarkable distinction of being listed in the top 1% of realtors in America, with over 400 homes sold annually. She’s not just a real estate mogul; she’s a recognized investor, developer, and builder of custom homes. Benaisha is also the owner of The Bailey-Watson Real Estate Group, which boasts licensed agents nationwide.
In 2021, Benaisha achieved another groundbreaking milestone—she established Prime One Lending Group and Home Loans, the first Afro-Latina-owned FDIC federally chartered bank. As a direct lender approved by Fannie Mae, her bank is committed to serving underserved populations, offering unique mortgage solutions to those who might otherwise be overlooked by traditional lending institutions.
“I sell real estate—I didn’t think I would own and fully operate a bank of my own, but I learned that I could hire the right team with know-how,” Benaisha explains. By setting a credit score limit of 580, she has created a pathway for many minorities to access home loans, addressing a long-standing barrier in the industry.
Although Prime One Lending Group and Home Loans currently focuses on lending services, Benaisha has plans to expand the company’s offerings, with new and improved programs like Bank Statement Loans designed to support entrepreneurs with low down payments and without the need for tax returns.
